“La Memoria Atrapada” is a documentary directed by Cristian Leighton where he shows the details about the known accident in a mine in Chile in 2010 where 33 miners got trapped 700 meters underground due to a collapse. After the state-owned mining company, Codelco, took over rescue efforts from the mine’s owners, exploratory boreholes were drilled, and seventeen days after the accident a note was found taped to a drill bit pulled back to the surface:“We are well in the shelter, the 33 of us”.
